DIRAC: Unified Compute Architecture Framework¶
DIRAC — Distributed Infrastructure for Responsive Application Components — is
the platform architecture framework for the dirac-* workspace.
Architecture Model¶
DIRAC uses BRO (Business Resource Orchestration) and FED (Federation) as central coordination surfaces, while domain repositories implement bounded capabilities behind shared messaging and contract conventions.
Component Repositories¶
See the Repository Landscape for the complete map of all
6 active dirac-* repos and their current development state.
Canonical Decisions¶
Binding decisions are maintained in canonical ADRs:
- DIRAC-ADR-0001: Messaging-first integration
- DIRAC-ADR-0002: Platform boundaries and ownership
- DIRAC-ADR-0003: ABS ecosystem layering
- DIRAC-ADR-0004: Repo authority and ADR boundary
